He was Tiger, born of the desert winds. She was Del, born of ice and storm. Time to step into the circle.
I just finished Sword-Breaker, volume four of the Novels of Tiger and Del by Jennifer Roberson.
Oaths and honor-codes and magic swords have their uses, but they are a means not an end, so when others – be they religious zealots, rival sword-dancers, or evil sorcerers – use them to try and write an end for Tiger and Del the result is both tragic, unsurprising, yet in end satisfying for each. For an end this was, but also a new beginning. They are free and new adventures await beyond the sunrise! It is also nice seeing Del loosen up and learn to laugh. Lovely to see Delilah shine through.
